On September 3, Zhao Xin 'an, deputy magistrate of Songxian County and director of forestry bureau, and 3 representatives came to Nanyang City, and meet with Nanyang Funiushan UGGp Administration for discussion and exchange on the management and construction of geopark.

At the symposium, Fang Cheng, director of Nanyang Funiushan  UGGp Administration, introduced the basic situation and development process of Funiushan UGGp, and had an in-depth discussion and exchange with Zhao Xin 'an and companions on how to carry out the management of the geopark under the circumstances that the management organization is not smooth, the organization has no guarantee mechanism, the quality of personnel needs to be optimized, and business development is constrained everywhere.

Regarding the next management of the geopark, Fang Cheng emphasized that: First, the park management departments should participate in the planning and construction of scenic spots; Second, strengthen the propaganda of popular science and raise the popularity of Funiushan UGGp; Third, strengthen the usual supervision and management, and resolutely stop the illegal activities that destroy geological relics and ecological environment; Fourth, further improve the business level and working ability of managers; Fifth, strengthen the rectification of the mid-term evaluation in 2018 to ensure the smooth passing of the mid-term evaluation in 2022; Sixth, actively coordinate for project development funds and strengthen infrastructure construction in the park.

The symposium is the first communication between the management departments of geoparks in Luoyang and Nanyang after the institutional reform, laying a foundation for the future work, and facilitating the unified management and study of institutions in the two places.
