From September 7 to 9, a delegation of 15 people from China Funiushan UGGp visited Huanggang Dabieshan UGGp for an investigation and exchange activity, in order to learn advanced experience from Huanggang Dabieshan UGGp in park management mode, planning and construction, geological research and science popularization.

During the three-day visit to Huanggang Dabieshan UGGp, the delegation investigated the main geological relics resources and geological landscapes in geological museum, Macheng, Yingshan county and Luotian County parks of Dabieshan. The management mode, exhibition hall design, collection arrangement and theme idea featuring orogenic belt of Huanggang Dabieshan UGGp Museum left a deep impression on the delegation. During the investigation of the main geological heritage resources and geological landscape in the park, the two sides conducted in-depth discussion and exchange on the protection of geological heritage, popular science propaganda, layout and content of signs, planning and design of the investigation site, and the combination of geology and human landscape.

 During this visit, Funiushan UGGp and Huanggang Dabieshan UGGp jointly signed the Sistership Geopark Agreement, which is aimed at promoting the communication and cooperation between these two UNESCO Global geoparks. In the future work, the two parks will exchange and share resources on strengthening the protection and management, planning and construction, geological research, science popularization and other aspects, and jointly promote the scientific management and sustainable development of the UGGps.
