According to the notice of the UNESCO Global Geopark Executive Board, the managers of Funiushan UNESCO Global Geopark participated in the Second GGN Digital Forum Online Conference on the future construction and development of UNESCO Global Geopark from 8: 00 pm to 11: 00 pm on 23^rd and 24^th.

Representatives of the UNESCO Global Geopark Executive Board and representatives of global geoparks in various countries attended this conference. At the conference, Nicholas, Chairman of the UNESCO Global Geopark Executive Board, gave a report on the financial operation and network activities in 2020. Jin Xiaochi, Chinese representative of the Asia-Pacific Park Network, reported on the Asia-Pacific network in 2020, and the network representatives of European Park, Latin American Park, Canadian Park, African Park, North Africa and Arab National Park also reported on that. Each representative of other global geoparks gave a five-minute speech on the themes of geological disasters, geology and assessment, volcanoes, geological tourism, education, sustainable development, water resources management, environmental problems, and visibility enhancement, etc. Quan Yongwen, manager of South Korea's Jeju Island Global Geopark, introduced the preparations for the 9th UNESCO Global Geopark International Conference to be held in Jeju Island in September 2021 by GGN, and put forward three suggestions on the conference schedule: (Ⅰ) It should be held as scheduled in September 2021, and participants must be vaccinated; (Ⅱ) It should be postponed to December 2021, and the participants must be vaccinated; (Ⅲ) It should be postponed to December 2021, with international representatives attending the conference, and representatives of the rest global geoparks attending the network conference, and participants must be vaccinated.

Through this network conference, people know the trends and latest development directions of global geoparks under the influence of COVID-19 epidemic situation in 2020. Funiushan UGGp will introduce talents and bring forth new ideas in 2021, striving to give speeches and reports on the theme of Funiushan's protection and sustainable development at international conferences, so as to promote the management of Funiushan UGGp and further enhance its popularity.
