On March 8th, the Land and Resources of Fangcheng County organized nearly 100 female volunteers to Qishiertan Scenic spot, famous for the 72 ponds in the east piedmont of Funiushan mountain, to popularize science on geology and geological disaster prevention, contributing to the construction of geoparks.

        Volunteers picked up rubbish bottles, plastic bags, fruit peels and wastepaper in the scenic area. In addition, they distributed leaflets on geoparks and geological disaster prevention to visitors and local residents, to publicize the importance of the construction and development of national geoparks in the east of Funiushan Mountain. At the same time, they interpreted geological knowledge in accordance with the tour route, nurturing a sense of community pride among the residents, encouraging them contribute to the construction of geoparks in the east of Funiushan Mountain, creating an all-people participating construction.

        The construction of geopark in the east of Funiushan Mountain has approached the crucial stage.All the work about the geopark construction has been launched. The application work will be destined to completed in the first half of year and the construction work will be started in the second half of the year, which will bring residents of Fangcheng county concrete “butterfly effect” benefits such as economy, society, culture, ecology,etc.
