In order to popularize knowledge on geology, enable local government staff and residents in Songxian county to learn more about the feature of Songxian county and strengthen an awareness of geopark and geological relics conversation, representatives from Songshan Geological Site Management Office of Funiushan Global Geopark went to Baihe town to carry out a Science education activity.

       During the event, experts from Nanyang Technology University gave a brief interpretation on the development of global geoparks, the construction priorities of geoparks, the geoscience and culture publicity, and the sustainable development of rural areas. They also shared personal learning experience with participants, creating an active atmosphere of concerning geological resources, learning geological knowledge, and protecting grological heritages consciously.

       It’s reported that in accordance with arrangement, a comprehensive situation has been formed that all government members and local residents learned geological knowledge, publicized geoparks and protected geological heritages due to serious popular science activities launched by Sonshan county geopark site.
