Xu Jianchao, the director of Nanyang Land and Resouces Bureau and another two colleagues participated the 4th Asia-Pacific Geopark Symposium which was held from September 14 to 18 in San’in Kaigan Geopark, Japan.

       In 2015, 22 geoparks participated in the selection, while nine out of twenty-two geoparks were officially listed in Global Geoparks Network via the vote of Executive Board Bureau of GGN. Dunhuang Geopark from Gansu and Zhijindong Geopark from Guizhou jointed the Global Geoparks Network. So far, the number of global geoparks reaches to 33 in China. During the symposium, Funiushan UNESCO Global Geopark promoted its work, exchanged experiences in construction, management, research and science popularization.
