After more than ten years of rapid development, Nanzhao county has been awarded the title of "China's best county for leisure and vacation tourism" and "China's outstanding county for ecological tourism".

        With a good foundation for tourism development, to avoid homogeneous competition, Naozhao county gives full play to the natural resource and native landscape. In accordance with the idea of big scenic spot, big tourism, big industry and big development, a new conception was set up to build, plan and manage Nanzhao tourism. By focusing the scenic area, centering Nanzhao county, using scenic spots as joints, which formed Three Points Support. By effective integration of resources, optimizing "four town, seven landscape , one city", the goal to make scenic area everywhere in Naozhao is realized step by step.

       There are seven main scenic area including Mt. Wuduoshan Scenic Area,Baotianman Scenic Area, Danxia Temple Scenic Area, Lianhua Hot Spring Scenic Area, Yuanren Gorge Drifting Scenic Area,Funiushan Tianchi Scenic Area, Zhenwuding Scenic Area),four charming counties including Yunyang, Nanhedian, Mashiping and Qiaoduan, and 20 beautiful villages. The purpose is to realize the integration of sceneries, and towns as well as the rural areas.

       Scenic spot is the core of the whole scenic area. 500 million yuan was investigated in the project to upgrade and improve the quality of scenic area. Funiushan Global Geopark, Gene Banks for animal and plants, wooden villas, exhibition hall of animal and plant specimens and other infrastructures are all contributing for establishment of 5A grade tourist attractions.

       Wuduoshan scenic area expends to jiulong lake to develop rafting and other leisure projects, as well as to apply for wuduoshan provincial forest park and jiulong lake national water recreation scenic area. Lotus hot spring scenic area upgrades to deeply develop series of recreational products such as health care for the elderly living and to establish the national 4A grade tourist attraction. Meanwhile, joining the investment of Yuanren gorge drifting, Yuanren skiing (grass) and Shengrenduo scenic area, intensify the construction of roads and facilities to create national 4A tourism attractions .
