Deepening intercity cooperation to promote tourism industry development in Nanyang

On February 7, Yu Debin, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Leading Group and Vice-Chairman of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development and his delegation arrived in Nanyang on inspection tour for Beijing—Nanyagn tourism communication and collaboration, accompanied by Jing Jinsong, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Nanyang Municipal Committee, Cao Pengcheng, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Nanyang Municipal Committee and Deputy Mayor of Nanyang Municipal Government, and He Xuemin, Deputy Mayor of Nanyang Municipal Government.


       Yu Debin and his delegation successively visited the Temple of Marquis Wu, the Canal Head of South-to-North Water Diversion Project, Taocha Resort Town, Danjiangkou Reservoir, the Museum of Dinosaur Egg Fossils, Neixiang Prefectural Office, etc., which allowed them a detailed understanding of Nanyang tourism industry development.


       Yu Debin spoke highly of the achievements that Nanyang has made in water source area protection, tourism resource development and development of industry with local characteristics. He pointed out that Beijing has attached to Nanyang with water, and both are trying to get mutual communications and collaboration settled. It is of great importance for Nanyang, with brainstorming and mutual cooperation, to improve the planning standard for scenic areas, raise the design grade of tourist products, step up efforts in talent cultivation and recruitment, and increase service standard of tourism industry. Beijing is a mega platform for the promotion and advertisement of Nanyang tourism resources. There is a great need to identify and fix the major problems with and boost the potential of Nanyang tourism industry, on the basis of sufficient survey and evaluation, so as to bring Nanyang tourism industry development to a new height.
